The twentieth century was a remarkable century for many different reasons. The twentieth century saw two World Wars, wars at a huge scale that would have seemed unimaginable prior. Before the twentieth century, there was no such thing as a “World War”.
By halfway through the twentieth century, it was a household term.
Along with war came technology. Einstein’s “Theory of Relativity” and the idea of Quantum Physics changed the way science was used had progressed. It changed how technology was used, for government, war and even for personal use.
The twentieth century saw the computer invented, a modern convenience that now people cannot live without. It saw the birth and death of many legendary people who will go down in history forever. It saw war at the hands of dictators like Franco, and peace at the hands of people like Gandhi. Of all the things the twentieth century was, it can be agreed by all that it was a remarkable age.
